Walk for Unity 3.0 was the third event organised by Centre for Civilisational Dialogue. It was the third year of the Walk for Unity 3.0 due to overwhelming and positive feedback every year. The main objective of this event was to encourage students and the public from various institutions to communicate with each other of different races. It also to promote unity and peace among the public through sports. For this year, the Walk for Unity 3.0 was officiated by Mr. Alias Ahmad, Chief of Angkatan Muda Keadilan (AMK) for Lembah Pantai that was also a representative for YB Fahmi Fadzil, Member of Parliament for Lembah Pantai. The organiser was also delighted to receive participation from Malaysia National Netball Team.

Despite the rainy weather, they were around 150 participants from the public and UM community walked together around the campus gleefully. The program started off with a warming up session which was led by the Royal Zumba Team from Twelfth Residential College (KK-12), UM. The route for the walk is 5KM, starting from Dataran Dewan Tunku Canselor, further up to the famous Bukit Cinta and ended at the starting point. Along the route, there were checkpoints and two water stations. The participants were required to fulfil the task at both checkpoints in order to legitimately finish the walk. The first checkpoint was located at Ambang Asuhan Jepun, Centre for Foundation Studies in Science which required the participants to play a game called Lambungan Perpaduan. They were rewarded with a sticker on their bib number before they were able to continue their journey. The second checkpoint was located at Bukit Cinta which located next to the water station. At this checkpoint, the participants may quench their thirst while answering simple surveys by marking their answers using stickers at the survey boards.

There was no win or lose in the Walk for Unity 3.0 event since it was a relaxed event for the participant to interact and converse among the participants who came from various background and ethnicity. Every participant was able to take home a finisher medal upon finishing the walking route. After all participants have arrived, the event continued with lucky draws session with exciting prizes. Other than that, there were several booths from Maybank, Raqtive and Forever Living that the participants can browse through the products and make their purchases. The event was also enlivened with Pilot Café, a local food truck that sells various type of Roti Benggali and tasty beverages. The event ended at 10.00 a.m. and it was a great success despite the unfavourable weather and redundancy from other events in the campus.
