A workshop named “Bengkel Ilustrasi Buku Bergambar Kanak-kanak bersama Yusof Gajah” has been held at Lecture Room 7, Level 3, Faculty of Built Environment, University of Malaya. This workshop was organised by the Centre for Civilisational Dialogue University of Malaya (CCD) in collaboration with Authenteqa PLT.

Yusof Gajah, the President of the Yusof Gajah Lingard Literary Agency, also known as Malaysia’s foremost naive art artist was invited to share his knowledge on how to produce an illustrated children’s picture book. This workshop only focused on the introduction of picture book concept and the basic techniques to produce picture books. The two days’ workshop was a success with participation from the community of University of Malaya and the public.

Before the sessions end, the speaker commented on each illustrated book that was created by the participants. The participants look so happy with the outcome of the workshop and hope to join the advanced classes in future.
